Lucho Martinez (of Em and Martinez) started Tormenta to put Mexican beans from regions like Veracruz and Oaxaca on the same level as Ethiopia or Colombia sans pretentiousness. The baristas care as much about your espresso as they do picking the next record. And with Lucho’s roster of friends, don’t be surprised if the stall is slinging quesadillas from Pujol or pastries from Odette that day.
