The crates and stools outside Pontochoux stay full year round, and on a good day Rue Pont aux Choux feels like an extended patio. They specialize in karaage and Japanese curry - things that mostly flew under the radar in Paris until the post-pandemic yen drop.
Inside it’s tiny, like most boui-bouis (French slang for small, family-run spots), but very homey. Sometimes the staff’s T-shirt or design projects end up for sale by the register.
