Hard to find but look for the big neon yellow sign next to Boba Tea Coffee inside Galerie Oslo, best known for its Tang Frères supermarket. Chheng Sim is one of those places you only find through someone who really eats.
It’s homestyle Cambodian cooking: a lesser-known thread of France’s Indochine diaspora. There’s dishes familiar to Thai/Vietnamese staples (satays, curries, papaya salad, pandan drinks, banh khots) but the flavours lean funkier, greener, more herbal.
