Like a lot of places in the 11th, Rives has cool branding. Their squiggled logo shows up on the lamps, plates, and glassware. Thomas, the owner, sometimes does a vinyl set when it gets late. The servers are friendly and tattooed.
You can actually get a table, and everything comes from Aveyron, Thomas’s home in the mountainy south. The dishes are lighter, and there’s a big emphasis on regional producers. Reminds you that not every modern bistro has to be bistronomy.
