Pamela has had a hold on everyone young, hot, and free in Paris for a while now. The space is small and cave-like (and at times rave-like), with a lot of bad reviews from people who didn't get in. One of their bartenders once went semi-viral for flirting on the job.
It's hard not to classify the scene as indie sleaze, a term that can feel over applied but is hard to avoid when the club routinely hosts a Skins Night (based of course on the UK show whose partying imagery has long defined the term) with a strict Skins dress code—stripes, polos, cheetah, slogan tees, obligatory cigarette holding—which doesn't stray far from the usual attire. A flash photographer is usually on site, in the style of the Cobra Snake. There are Doors tribute nights as it's rumored Jim Morrison died in the toilets here back when it was the Rock'n'Roll Circus. The club is named after his girlfriend Pamela Courson.
During fashion week, the place is most known for throwing after parties for brands like Willy Chavarria, FFFPostalservice, Heliot Emil, and Grailed. When heritage brands like Celine or Vivienne Westwood want a more hedonistic industry party, they end up here too.
