After a lawsuit forced them to change their name, Norma the Bakery became Ronnie - still an homage to founder Abigail’s grandparents (Norma taught her to bake, Ronnie was her grandfather). The rebrand hasn’t slowed the girls posing outside the takeout window. What most of them don’t realize is how deep Ronnie runs in the fashion industry.
Abigail and her husband Tommy also run Bonne Femme, the catering company behind craft services and dinners for Sacai, Chanel, LV, and Loewe. Their mixed backgrounds (Abigail’s English, Tommy’s Swedish) keep them free from the usual rules of French pâtisserie. They bake what they like: Scandinavian cinnamon and cardamom rolls, English sausage rolls and cakes, tiramisu danishes, sloppy joe sandwiches.
