New Classic
There's no other store as referenced as Cafe Forgot within the ecosystem of indie multibrand retailers. Girls are overly eager to say "oh this? i picked it up from cafe forgot" when asked. The styling is replicated by most of the Lower East Side and has probably fueled the premise that over 35 year olds think this generation is "dressed like an actual lunatic." But as everyone knows there is an art to it. Depop, the secondhand app preferred by Gen Z, threw a dinner here to launch Outfits, a feature to assemble pieces before purchase.
The store consists of downtown based brands, from lingerie brand Weedslut, who made pieces for the Addison tour after she loved wearing the Nylon Babydoll from here, to Elon Musk's stylist turned designer Emily Dawn Long, who is extremely choosy about stockists. There are only six in the world excluding Forgot. But also, beloved internet brands like Attega, CouCou, Geel, and Nii Hai, the latter of which released an exclusive capsule with tutu skirted bikini bottoms.
